Too bad the folks over at CN couldn't appreciate it. They dared us to send a lens to Wolfgang and when we did and got a good report, still not good enough.

My guess is that his "manhood" is shorter than a Pentax 2.5 XO, his posts scream of overcompensation. The guy is an ass hat.

I also saw that CN thread. It was certainly very revealing about Mr. Barnett, in particular.
Is he some kind of expert? If so, it doesn't appear to be optics.
That was a great test result. Istar should be proud of their wares.

I don't know how much that Rohr test cost but I think it was a great investment on Istar's part. You don't need 10 tests of the same lens so this record will stand the test of time.
His final postings in this last CN thread recently shut down reveals that apparently Mr. Barnett is from the "Refractor Police" and he is looking to safeguard the unwashed from the praise us fanboys put out. We might influence the market and folks might come away thinking Istar makes a great product for a reasonable price. Imagine that. I just wish he'd have shown his badge a couple of years ago so we could have shown the respect he was due :>)

Things have really looked up since the SCAE show. We're planning the Arizona Science and Astronomy Expo in November right now. We are going to announce a big sale on our current stock. We have brand new products in production right now but we want to have stock before we say much. Ales deserves the privilege to announce that anyway. So it's onward and upward from here guys. Thanks again to the usual group of supporters over on CN. You know who you are  That thread was a definite win for us in the end. Joe, I really liked the final post by you. Really summed up what was going on there. |

Hello everyone.
I asked Mike to do a short followup thread about what Mr. Barnett is saying about where our lenses are made and that we simply re-brand / re-lable mass produced Chinese lenses. Mr. Barnett knows the truth (as it can be easily found directly on our web site under FAQ and Ive mentioned these facts numerously on both CN and ISC) yet he is deliberately misleading everyone not yet familiar with Istar into believing that what he says is the ultimate and only truth. Well, after reviewing his previous as well as his latest statements on CN, I can say that his words are actually pure fiction if not flat out lies. Mike will follow up with some easy to proof data.

JB is another lawyer type. Well schooled in double talk, evassiveness and avoiding at all costs of being cornered or treed. Most of these types end up getting their just do and hung sooner or later because a lawyer no matter how convinced that he is not......is still only a mere mortal.  Mike |
