So I watched this video on TED.com www.ted.com/talks/mike_matas.htmlIt's about an interactive version of Al Gore's book "Our Choice". I d/l it for my wife's ipod touch(now I need wi-fi to get more chapters) and it looks awesome. I think this be great for app versions of books like Burnhams Celestial Handbooks or Harrington's Star Watch or Turn Left at Orion. Where interactive pictures, movies, narratives, and charts w/ interactive star hops would be great newbies and veterans alike. Can you imagine a Burnham/Harrington/Sagan narrative playing while you watch and learn a star-hop through a constellation or astro-photos/video of nebulae or planets? I know you can 'cause I do when I read their books and others. I gotta get to the library and start learnin' programing.
