Anyone ever used this Roddier Software? In case you're not familiar with it... it's software for evaluating telescope optics. Apparently developed by French Professional Astronomers for analyzing optics on professional scopes. It is being used by amateurs to evaluate their scopes. You basically take an image of your intrafocus airy disk and your extrafocus airy disk. You then plug these two images into the software and get the evaluation. The software is free. However, it was written in French. There is an English version available on a Yahoo Group called Roddier. I applied to the group a week ago and still haven't been accepted. I don't know if they don't like me or the administrator is on vacation. Anyone have any info? I think this would be quite useful for us. Since there will be many evaluations going on in this group. Comments?
