I have a new Phantom 140 f/6.5 and I need more backfocus to use my 2” diagonal and EPs. I see the new ad sticker that there is a removable 80mm section. Can you please explain more, I dont see it? Is this a brand-brand new tube? If so, can you just buy the tube (without lenses, focuser, dew shield, etc.)? As I could transfer from my current Phantom.
If that isnt an option, what are the rear threads of the focuser, I measured ~102mm and ~64mm for the outer (attaches plate to focuser body) and inner (that the 2” EP holder twists into)? That way I can hunt for a shorter adapter.!
Thanks!
Jeff

Is this a brand-brand new tube? If so, can you just buy the tube (without lenses, focuser, dew shield, etc.)? As I could transfer from my current Phantom. It has to do with material already purchased that we can not simply throw away or re-machine everything. In the future all of these scopes will have this option but if you don't see a fine line approx. 80mm from the focuser (deciding the main tube into two sections) then your scopes do not have this option. But what Psion wrote will work for sure so please look into that. Thank you, best regards, Ales
