Does Istar make or offer a reducer/flattener for the Asteria TCR 150 R35?
Or can anyone recommend one that works?

Jon and I have discussed this via email. We don't make a reducer so Jon is going to try an inexpensive Astro Tech model. Astro Tech .8X Focal Reduces/ Flattener This model is made for a scope with a focal length of F5.5 to F7 and Jon's scope is F12 so it may not work at all but he's willing to purchase it and try it. Comments? I'm looking forward to hearing back on the outcome. Mike

Forgot that I have a HoTech Model SCA-FFT58-2" field flattener for f5-f8 scopes, which is similar to the AstroTech 0.8x reducer/flattener f requirements. See it: www.hotechusa.com/SCA-Field-Flattener-p/sca-fft58.htmSo I will give that a try in the next few days using my Canon 500D DSLR on the Asteria TCR 150 R35. If it works to flatten the field of the Asteria TCR 150 at the scope's native f12 ... then the Astrotech 0.8x should also work as a reducer to take the scope down to f9.6. Incidentally, one of my CCD cameras has a 0.5x reducer option ... will try that also to see if can get the Asteria down to f6 with that camera. Stay tuned... JonS
