Well its been one month since I arrived in Perth , its cold down here and its only been cloudy a few nights in that time and locals are saying I brought the good weather with me ., hmmmm ? . But yes the skies have been nice and its good to see more southern delights being at 32 degrees south not 12 degrees as Darwin was .
I have been asked to show the December moon to a group next week so I will set up the lovely Istar 127mm f8 doublet for this and maybe Jupiter latter on in the night , but as I now have a job here , so it wont be a late night . I will do a report with photos in about a week on this night , stay tuned people . Brian.

I'll need a bigger car to drive around with the f12. Good news is I finally got to see M 31 not much to write about a blob with a star in the middle. From the weather maps Perth looks like a great astro spot . Matt

First time I have ever tried 'Bud' Matt and its a nice beer almost as good as NZ 'Stienlager' . Heading east sometime next year ?? . The tent is 2100mm long and 1200mm wide and weighs 60kg its super well made and comfortable . I like Perth the skies have been perfect since I arrived bar a few , great place . Brian. You need a hurst to transport the f12 its a lovely scope Matt . Yes M31 is a blob except from Darwin and dark skies in my 127mm and bino viewers ,, you start to see its outer arms , nice . Yes Perth has turned it up for us over the last month , great clear nights . Brian. I'll need a bigger car to drive around with the f12. A 2100mm tent! Same length as my scope with dewshield. Just thinking storage bag ideas! Reality will most probably be a wooden box like the Unitron's of old. Matt
