Hello JP, Please what Ha filter did you use? What is the exposure time? How the Ha optimization is done for the lens (special glass, special design)? Thanks.

JP! An academy award winning film. I would pay money to hear it in English though. Love the attention to detail on the scope all the way down to the Istar logo on the side. I don't know if you built this or someone you hired but either way it's a beautiful telescope. It makes me proud to see Istar Optical emblazoned on the side.
Mike
Valy, the lens is a special Istar design for H alpha use (228mm F9 R30). Although, JP has demonstrated it's ability to do well on the moon and Jupiter. The etalon is a modified Coronado PST. I think the ERF is by Baader. I'm not sure yet who actually built the scope. I think it is JP's design and he had someone build it. JP correct me if I'm wrong. Either way I love it.

Nice pics but frankly I gave up silent movies with my family's 8mm movies years ago! With this I haven't a clue to what's what.

Just learn French Mikey. Can't be that hard. Isn't seeing that beauty inside and out enough?

JP, the ERF doesn't produces internal reflections between it and the lens? Why you didn't put it in front of the lens, thus avoiding entering the energy inside the tube?
PS: google translate doesn't work on movies?

Mike Valy The biggest filter ERF-D which we find on the market is the Baader 180mm , I chose in fact the diameter of the solar refractor according to the diameter of the erf!!! with this diameter there is no warm-up inside the OTA we can find filters erf of bigger diameter to special order, but it is frightfully expensive!!!! JP , I don't speak French , like Mikey Cee ( but we can learn , Aye? Mikey? ) , but I know enough about great scopes like yours to understand what's going down .
If a picture is worth a 1000 words , your Video is worth 10,000 words , beautiful instrument !! Thanks for taking the time to show us .
Brian.

Mexican? Don't you mean Spanish? It's bad enough that we bash the CNers. Let's not alienate other cultures too.

Hey I don't care if someone south of the border calls my language English or American. I actually have a life. Screw political correctness.
