I have been experimenting with my Istar, and trying out various configurtions in order to get my Denk binos to focus without a barlow or OCS. I have found one combo that works. I use a Tak 5/4" prism diagonal and then my Denk without the powerswitch. All my eyepieces come to focus with at least 10mm of in travel to spare. Eyepieces I use are: 32mm Omni Plossl, 30mm Vixen NPL, 19Panoptic, 15mm TV Plossl, 13Nag T6, and 9mm generic 66 degree.
This gives me magnification from 46x to 164x. Both the 32mm and 30mm give a FOV of just over one degree. The views with the 30mm and 19mm are spectacular. NGC7789 under good seeing is something to behold.
For the planets and the Moon, and other high power requirements, I use the Denk with my 2"diagonal/filter wheel combo. I place the Denk OCS on the end of the binoviewer and insert into the diagonal. My magnification choices now range from 101 - 361x, plus I get to use the filter wheel.

Very nice Bob. Can't beat two eyes on DSO's at least the brighter ones. I can go without the OCS in my f8 6" frac and WO's. Open clusters are amazing. I intend to do the same in my now started 159 f12 ATM, the Moon and Planets should be terrific in the Istar compared to a Synta. Matt
