Custom cases cost a fortune, especially for a 6 foot long f12 scope! So ... I used the Istar scope shipping box to make a quickie custom case for carrying my Asteria TCR 150 R35 around. Reinforced with plywood inside, added handle and outside velcro latches. Cost about $10.00. Works fine. The shipping box is made of what looks like plastic impregnated carboard, and is pretty tough stuff. Pics below:

That is so cool Jolasa ! , great idea . I for one are waiting for a report on how your lovely TCR 150 performs , you have a very rare and different scope there , cant wait to hear how it performs . By the way mate , what are you using to mount it ? Thanks . Brian.

I posted the images you are referring to on that new thread on CN 10 days ago or so, but the CN moderators removed the thread. Those are some strange, jealous folks on CN.
Was waiting for some decent weather here in Northern California so could get some more images, but having cloudy nights for about a month now.
But I will post the original good images (quickies) I have from late July again on this Forum in the next few days.
