Well the usual naysayers and other folks with no skin in the game are at it again over on CN in the Refractors forum. They all talk big and expect the "other" guy to go out on the limb and purchase so they can sit back and second guess every comment with more doubt and negativism towards Istar lenses. Some guy asks for assistance and these guys land on the roost and start right in. Shit I took a big chance and put a lot on the line when I ordered mine. But not these killjoys ...noooo let somebody else do it. I'm very satisfied with my lens' performance and I'll be damned if I'll risk sending my lens out to have it tested by a third party. Mike

Could we have some of you Istar lens owners get involved against these droning naysayers over in the CN Refractors forum. They have said they don't get enough reports good or bad on Istar lenses and that you folks must be hiding your feelings. They also want us to buy the lenses and have them tested. One guy was so generous he offered to pay to ship your lens to Rohr over in Germany. I said that isn't going to happen and he shot out a smart ass reply about me not wanting to risk damage to my lens. Big of him isn't it? Mike

I see the thread is locked this morning (Wednesday). I posted a rather benign post last night around 10:30, I wonder what happened?

Jim called istar owners fan boys, thus continuing to cast us and the product in a negative light, so I purposely broke the TOCs and called him a blithering idiot to get the thread locked.

I went to bed after I posted. I've seen his previous "fan boy" comments, did he post another comment after my last one last night? This stuff has to wash off your back. He's having fun. Jim

Well Jim he may or may not be having fun. I don't know and I don't care. It's not funny to Istar because Istar is a business. We can laugh it off if we chose but it hurts Ales and Mike in the pocket book which ultimately hurts my chance for a Raycorr....maybe. Mike

He was being malicious and it was not in fun. There are many on that forum that follow his postings like they are gospel and that is why I asked a moderator to shut down the thread long ago. I see him for what he is, an egotistical blowhard who has it out for ISTAR...and Stellarvue for that matter. I really detest people who chime in a provide commentary on items they have never used. I used to rock climb at a very high level of difficulty and would alwys run into people talking smack about routes, I would ask them, well, have you climbed it because I have and I can tell you you do not know what you are talking about...same goes with Jim, he likes to read what he posts, that's it.
