Ales, I am trying to decide which R30 lens I should by. I am thinking of either the 6" f/8 or the 7.1". I realize that the 7.1" is some what longer and heavier but could you give me some insight as to the difference between their performance. I just noticed that the lens prices just went up. So with money being a secondary issue which lens would you suggest? I am thinking of putting the optics on a rail type OTA. Thank you, JohnDaniel

Hello dear John, the main difference is quite important.. we have the 150 F8 R30 lenses made and I believe the tubes just arrived in Florida so double check with Mike about when the finished tested scopes will be available. We can offer the lens in cell or the complete scope in 150 F8 R30 very soon. The 180mm models are designed but since we did not receive any pre-orders as of now I put the production on back burner for a while. Once we receive a prepaid order on this scope or less we will go ahead and produce the 7,1" models as well. To produce lenses will take about 4 months and to produce scopes about mont or two longer. Please try to understand, we have already some 12 models produced or in production and I can not continue producing more until we spark some more interest amongst astronomers. Personally I prefer 150mm scopes for their portability and fairly low weight so you dont need an overly expensive mount. Again, talk to Mike at this point, he will be more than happy to test one of those triplets for you and we will go from there. cheers, Ales
