Temperatures finally in the comfortable zone of 76 degrees at noon. With clear skies I thought I would drag a scope out and attach a filter. A Perseus AT 150 F8 and an Astrozap Baader film filter mounted on a Celestron CG-5GT sounded like a good idea. Although I had fun there is not much going on with the sun using white light filters. Only two small sunspots appeared and one is very near the limb. I thought I would image one of them but it just didn't impress. I did manage to photograph a "Sun Dog." Attachments:

Good looking rig, Mike. I'm surprised the CG5 can handle a 6"f/8. Good to know.

I would probably use my CGE or CGE Pro for this scope, but I wanted to set up quickly in my back yard so as not to be observing over my roof. So yes, using this mount is pushing it.
