This is spot diagram for the ALL NEW slim version of 180 F/8 R30 Anastigmatic doublet. From now on all new lenses will be designed and produced in SLIM lens style. No more bulky and front heavy scopes from Istar!! We are currently redesigning our 150 F5 R35, the new SLIM version will weight less than half. I am curious as to what my 180-r30-f8 will be. Will it be the old heavy lens or the new lighter. The light would make my designing of an open tube much easier. Also I am wondering is there any one who can tell me what the status of my lens. Also if there are any specs regarding the lens cell, I would greatly appreciate it.
I hope I am no making a mistake by writing this here but the posting caught my eye. Thanks again, JohnD

Hello John,
we came out with the thin version of our doublets right at the time we received your order. So instead of producing one thick lens we postponed production by couple of weeks and you will get the new, R30-Slim version. I can not give you specifics on lens cell, ask again in about 6 week time, we should have design for the lens cell by than.
