Hi Kunama...
Your newly restored mount is so beautiful, and the Istar Perseus AT 150 F10 is nicely matching your mount....
And I like the beautiful scenery that you post in the 1st photo, and your beautiful outdoor viewing deck......

Hi Matt.....
Sad to hear that you could not wait for the raycorr to be available...and also selling off your Istar.....
I think many of us , as owners of Istar scopes, also feel disappointed with no news from Ales with regards on the progress of the raycorr....
And perhaps by mid of this year, if really no update at all of this product, then I think may only materialized in another year or more.....

Gentlemen, as you can imagine, the multi element corrector which turns a regular achromatic doublet into a visual APO is a hard task to design and to produce. But I told you all that I will do everything in my power to introduce this corrector to the market. Yes, it is taking longer than anticipated but such scenario is not all together abnormal in todays climate. We have the design done and everything look extremely good. We are now in process of buying glass blanks and we are also producing first two units for testing. I hope to have these units done and tested in 2-3 months. Right after this we will produce first 25 or 50 units and start with distribution and direct sales. So give us some more room to breath, Im doint all I can on this project and it is far from being dead. We are still trying to produce Raycorr in USA but so far the prices are totally out of reach for any buyer. I have two more places I will talk to and if the manufacturing prices per unit are in thousdands of dollars, than we will have to produce in Asia. Just like Televue and others do with their eyepieces and correctors.... best regards, Ales

Hello, who is the new owner? Is he/she happy with the scope? Nevertheless, once we have the Raycorr ready for shipment, get a good 180 F8 R30 with Raycorr and compare the price to performance ratio.. actually, even R35 SLIM alone in aperture of 180, 204 and 250 are amazing deals on todays market. So as I mentioned above, give us some more time, we are working on it.. only ran into some incredibly high production prices here in US so I could not accept such. Im looking and working with a number of other manufacturers of small lenses, we should have somethim in our hands soon. cheers, Ales
