Hello, Looked at this site a couple of times and joined just now. A dedicated refractor spot...great. A 6 or 8" frac project is in the pipeline, all theoretical at the moment My scope a 6" f8 skywatcher love it as it's a good one. Always wanted a long throw frac since my long departed Unitron 3"...some time back in the early 80's. Matt

Welcome aboard Boomboom ! And , Thanks for posting. We definitely need more talk here. I had been planning on a long refractor myself, but made some compromises when I moved recently so I'll be going the big but short route. Raycorr will save me there, as I don't look too often at solar system objects.
Any way, good luck with your project. Lot's of talent around here to bounce ideas off of, and with Mike and Ales stopping in, you should find everything you need here. Welcome again.
Joe

Great site, I am glad I joined. It should help me with my long held desire for a large refractor.

Welcome! If a medium to large aperture refractor is what you want, than you arrived at the right place. We offer the largest selection of refractors and we continue to design and produce new models. You can choose lenses in cell from relatively small (our smallest) 100mm of clear aperture to incredible 300mm observatory class monsters. Read the posts, ask questions and I will gladly help you with your decision. if Im out of office (will be between September 23rd thru November 2nd) you can ask our sales and operations manager Mike Harden. We have many scopes in stock and a huge sale going on!! cheers, Ales Patrick
