Hi All, Well I joined the fray to see whats going on with IStar and the talk of reducers / corrector s being made by the company. I own a one of a kind 228mm F10.6 Astro Physics refractor that is a oil spaced triplet Roland made back in 1985. It is great to see ISTAR doing well and making large refractors for armature use and their wallets!! Attachments:

Welcome aboard Clint. Wow!Glad to have your experience at the ISC. I sure hope Ales and Mike can do some nice things for you in the area of flatners, reducers, correctors and such, cause I don't think you're here looking for a new lens for the Pearl! I certainly hope that you'll spread some of your refractor expertise among the group regardless. Hey, who knows, you might just decide on a little 6" fluorite travel scope with an Istar logo on it!
Thanks again for dropping by Joe

Mike, Joe, James, Thanks for the welcome and glad to be on here, I am always building or thinking about it. The Pearls objective has allot of appeal to me as a classic collector and as a amateur astronomer it has many attributes to offer. Mainly I just love refractors!!
Again Thanks for the welcome. Clint
