On the ISTAR website, the complete scopes come with a reduction and an Istar Crayford focuser. When you go to the optional stuff, a reduction for a Feathertouch or Moonlight are extra. It appears the way it's written, that the optional reduction cost more than the ISTAR focuser and reduction combined? What's the story Ales?

Hello guys, the original price incl. focuser does not include a focuer reduction.. we dont need one since original Istar focuser fits exactly to the rear plate of any Istar scope.. no reduction needed. So the price is for a complete scope with focuser.. but no reduction calculated. If you go with Starlight or MoonLite focuser.. you need reduction on top of the focuser purchase, no way around this unless you make those focuser guys produce one with Istar standard flange thread size 100 x 1,5mm.. but for a volume of one or max two, they wont do it.. I think. If we purcahse enough of those MoonLite or Starlight focusers, they may actually produce the flange with our own thread size.. but will have to wait for this to happen. The way this is set up.. you take the price of the scope as mentioned on the main page.. with focuser included. IF you want your scope with a different focuser.. you pay the difference in price between our focuser and their focuser.. plus the reduction. I hope this explains, if not, please bring this issue up again, I will be happy to reply, regards. Ales

Ahhh! Now I see. No adapter necessary for standard Istar focuser. Thanks Ales!
