Very Nice
Would you please share what mount you are using? How much counterweight do you need to use for that setup?
Thanks, Tom

AZ-EQ6 just handles the 204. I keep the ota as light as possible, only diagonal, eyepiece or binoviewer on the ota side. Everything else is on the other side,15 kgs each side with losmandy slide for fine balance. Just a 3 metre push out to view.

The new model Phoenix WXT 204-6LT is nearly half weight with retractable dew shield, US made 2.5" MoonLite focuser and lightweight UK made tube rings. A dream deep sky scope! Im getting one for myself. I could not resist the temptation... we have 6 more available at 4,299 USD for complete scope.

I have been trying different aperture sizes with the 204 F6. A 65mm mask for all phases of the moon, totally no colour on the limb, same for Jupiter. 130mm for Mars and Saturn which were razor sharp with no flaring tonight. This telescope is definitely not a one trick pony. I use a Williams Binoviewer for the moon, 8mm Nagler for Jupiter, Mars and Saturn, 21mm and 31mm for rich field viewing.
