The scope arrived (it's a beauty!!), but so did the clouds So, tonight I'm hoping the 'new scope' jinx relaxes long enough to get a first light. Chuck Attachments:

Congrats! I have the f15 version and love it. It absolutely sleighed Jupiter a week back when the seeing was really good here in San Diego. I just got a Docter 12.5mm eyepiece to use with it but the seeing has been not so good.
You will love your scope!!!

Of course it's been mostly cloudy here in S. FLA (like New England before it snows) since I got things set up Did you notice the scabbed on leg extension to raise the Tak tripod I added an extra 30" of Ash 2X4 to put the top of the mount base at 60", the stabilizers/stiffeners at the botton are the same ones used on AP portable piers. To my surpise the thing is rock solid!

That's one way to tackle it!! The top of my pier is about 8' off the ground, then there is another 1' on top of that which is the OpticCraft Wedge.
