Irene is coming! I'm almost sure to lose power and internet when she hits. By the time many others will be getting back to normal, I'll be dealing with major flood waters, and won't have power for probably a week or so after the flood. Don't know when I'll get back here. I may lose everything in this one. Try not to do anything that would require a moderator while I'm away!
For everyone else affected by this hurricane, I wish you luck.

Our hearts go out to you Joe. Been through a few here in southwest Florida so I know how you feel. Down to a Category 1 so maybe minimal damage although the flooding... Let us know as soon as you can.

Well. the hurricane was no big deal, but I'm still dealing with a hundred year flood. Had to leave my house today. I think I saved all of my astro toys, but I don't know where I'm gonna put them once I get back in. Should be 3 or 4 feet of water through the whole house!
Should have a chance to check the ISC, at least breifly from work, so I guess there's no need to pass the torch just yet.

Glad to know you're alive and well. Let us know if the power went out and how the skies are.
I've been visiting family in Louisiana so I'm a little late to this thread.
