Gord, thought you might like to see the MC300 I talk about. Hope I don't get kicked off the forum for posting a Mak. This is one of only two scopes Yuri from TEC built. So rare and priceless. He also has the TEC 160FL we took the Jupiter image through. I have been observing and imaging with him for years. Note the AP900 on a hydraulic pier with wheels. Sweet imaging set up! On my way outside now. Waiting for scope to cool down. Absolutely perfect night. Clear and extremely steady. Attachments:

Gord - Mikey, you guys rock! You revived the dead 6" F12 Lanthanum APO thread on CN. It's now 2290 views.

Sorry Joe! No more non-ISTAR scopes. Not a problem Mike. It's good to see some of the scopes that the ISTARs will be keeping company with. Great scopes are great scopes, even the ones that ISTAR doesn't make and they're nice to see.

Gord, think you could take a picture or two of the lens when it arrives? Probably sounds silly but I'm dying to see it.

Sure, will do. I'll try to include some dimensional info as well.
I also found a local machine shop that will take small jobs. Just need to get an idea of cost for the parts I'm looking for and I may just get them to make things up. Would get to the finished product real fast if that is the case.
Clear skies, -Gord

You should make that shop your good friend. Take them coffee and donuts. Most shops don't want to bother with little jobs because it's not profitable for them to set up machines for one part. I've been to three shops trying to get a 12" piece of schedule 80 aluminum pipe machined. Just .25" off the outside of one end and .25" off the inside of the other. They act like it's a major project. Well, you can leave it here and we'll see when we can get to it. No thanks...

So, as I posted over on CN, the lens is in Canada now, but is delayed in customs. I can't see it being too long, but you never know. Either way, it doesn't matter. Clouds and rain for the next week. -Gord

Gord. Judging by your weather forecast, this lens should rival anything Astrophysics has ever produced!

Gord, I am guessing no lens delivery yet? If I'm wrong, where are those pictures?

Mike, just got it last night. Haven't had any time to do much, but I started another thread with the pics.
Thanks, -Gord
