Hello all, I now have the assembly tooling completed and ready to go, plus I have all the parts made for the dew shield which I will be assembling first as a trial. The first attached photo shows the main spindle of the tool which consists of a square central tube with short square sleeves slipped over it. There is a clamping cup bolted on the near end to trap telescope tube parts. The main spindle is long enough to make a telescope tube up to about 3m long, for future projects. The second photo shows the main spindle on the bench support which holds the job steady for work. The back plate of the main tube is clamped in place. Cheers all, Graham.P

Hi again, I'm back with some assembly photos. The first photo shows the three ribs for the dew shield located over the main tool spindle with clamping sleeves between. Second photo shows ribs and sleeves clamped together. Next photo, the outer skin is attached to the ribs using the first row of predrilled holes then wrapped around the ribs and secured with straps (last two photos). OD is 285mm x 494mm long. Sheet metal parts for the tube have been laser cut including pilot holes to simplify assembly. Regards all, happy days! Graham.P
