Hello everyone,
just wanted to inform you that we have some popular lenses back in stock including achromatic doublets in 150mm to 204mm, Anastigmats in 150mm thru 250mm and Solar Doublets in 228mm.
Check out our website istar-optical.com lenses which are in stock are clearly marked.
Also, due to a popular demand, we started producing 150 f5, 150 f8, 150 f10 and 150 f15 achromatic doublets.
We also ship increasing numbers of lenses to Italy, especially our 150mm achromatic and anastigmatic models. Because of that, I was able to negotiate a special UPS discount on air shipments to EU. Please check back with me for details and pricing.
Thank you, everyone, for staying in touch!
Ales

Hi Mike I think we can safely assume that Ales is upright enough to type. Or at least propped up on enough pillows to use a touch screen keyboard. Let us hope the renewed availability of iStar lenses is a healthy sign for iStar [and Ales himself.] We just need enough people to buy them to fill the vacuum you left when you bought your huge lens. Hey Ales I already have my lens so I don't care about lenses I only care about how your surgeries went?! Mike Hello Mike, I'm back in the US, returned home 2 days before Christmas. Recovery is going well, I'm must fly back to EU on March 3 for 3 more weeks and then one more time by late summer and I should be all done and fixed up...:-) We are preparing this long overdue 180 F6 Super APO... quad with a build-in triplet corrector. First generation prototypes should be tested in about 2 months. This design was completely redesigned and we achieved a completely apochromatic system which should make a very fine astrograph and/or visual instrument. The second generation prototypes should be finished towards the end of this year. This astrograph offers super fine resolution limited by atmospheric conditions only, will cover up to 50x50 chip size with a perfectly flat field. Stay in touch, anyone interested in these APOs please contact me via email ales@istar-optical.com cheers, Ales
