WOW This is one of the most beautiful long focus refractors Ive ever seen. This scope was made with a lot of love. Im so glad to see our iStar achromatic doublet mounted in it. .... now compare this hand crafted beauty with any mass produced, big name brand refractor.... pretty sad sight, right? I sure hope to see more scopes like these in the future. My congratulations to the guy who designed it and produced it. regards,
Ales

Thanks Galileo, what a great spread of pics. It's great when a Boutique Telescope Manufacturer has faith in Istar Optics to use a lens in their Moonrakers. Galileo, the Peak Valley ad on the next page has info on the R35 Istar lens talking about world class optics, can you scan that as well and post here. Kind regards John.

Hi Folks, I had the pleasure of looking after this very scope recently and can confirm that the views of Jupiter gave me were virtually colour free and I used it as a bench mark for testing my 8" F12 R35 lens. I will be starting another post this weekend of my build in the ATM section. cheers to all. Paul

Damn why did it only get a four star rating on optics....must have been a mediocre eyepiece. Mike
