Hi,
I will acquire a new ISTAR scope and would like to know wish focuser to get?
Moonlite 2.0” Crayford or WO 2.0” Rack and Pinion
?

A Rack and Pinion tends to manage heavier loads better than a Crayford. If you are going to image with a lot of heavy gear, Rack and pinion might be the way to go. For normal visual add-ons, such as a diagonal and an eyepice that does not weigh 4 pounds, a Crayford should be fine.

Hi John!
I can't comment about the WO focuser, but I was VERY happy with both the Moonlite and Astro-Physics 2.7" focusers.
