Anyone done the WO supercharge from Siebert? I'd love to get a wider view with my WO's. The choice…supercharge or Blacknight 1.25" Siebert bino's. Being in Oz I add around $120 shipping both ways which makes the Blacknights a real alternative. Any Blacknight 1.25" owners out there? Performance? Just bought a second ES 24mm 68º eyepiece so a wider view is a real possibility. Cheers, Matt

I'd like to know too Matt. I've seriously considered it many time but have yet to follow through. I can say a lot of guys will refer you to Harry and I've never heard a single complaint about him. His explanation of the mods he performs make sense. Why don't you take the plunge and if the shark doesn't eat you, we'll follow

There is a great thread on our beloved CN forums with details about a Baader binoviewer with T2 adapters and Siebert's BN25 binoviewers. I apologize for not providing the link but if you google it, you'll certainly find it, too. I am actually considering to add a Siebert Optics binoviewer into the plan of my new 228 mm Istar refractor build, probably a 2" version.
I am with Matt, would like more info if anyone already has some experience with BN25, Echelon or WO supercharging, please share with us...

Thanks Viktor…should have thought to look up CN. At least the binoviewer section doesn't descend to some of the drivel that other sections do. Not being in the US of A my maths tell me that to sell my WO's for $200 save $60-80 on shipping that gives me $260+ to buy a Black Night Bino. From last look they cost around $450 + shipping so for an outlay of $300 or so I could end up with bino's with a bigger CA, which is the aim of the game….very tempting. Or spend around $300 on supercharging the WO's…now for a bit more research. Matt

Looked up the Siebert site only to see the BN 25's are now around the $650 mark!!!! Hmmm that makes the supercharge better, but and there is always a but it seems he's a snowed under at the moment so it will take a while. Might be better to wait….or I could buy the Orion version that is just the bino's pull em apart and try my own Supercharge ATM…..cost around $100 delivered before the wrecking ball hits 'em….Gonna have to think on this one.

Decided to leave the WO's as they are. A pair of 25mm orthos give outstanding views with a sharp field stop. I am able to reach focus without the OCS and to me the view is not that good...rather go mono for wide field, bino's might be spectacular out in the dark, but I haven't got the f12 out there yet. Soon I hope yo get there with the completion of my old pillow block mount mods. Matt
