White light is fun, but this is where your adventure begins.
PST filters are reuseable. If you know what you are doing and have a strap wrench and a C-clamp, you can wow yourself to beyond.
The coronado pst calcium is exceptionaly rare. If you can find one, you will be the happiest person for quite a long time as the filter inside of it is worth more than $1500.00US. You cannot buy narrow band filters like these from any commercial lab supply co. If you do find a place to make you a 2.2angstrom filter, it will cost you more than 1000$ every time.
Ultraviolet solar telescopes are very undersold because the human eye is limited to visible light. Thus these filters are strictly for the imaging only type of astronomy.
Never put your eye to any modified solar telescope unless you fully understand how to use a blocking filter. Attachments:
