Superb! I'm looking forward to getting my 8" F12 R35 lens in a proper baffled scope to fully appreciate its potential. Great image Paul

Kevin, that image was taken by David Rankin of Rankin Studio in southern Utah. He is an accomplished photographer with many credits to his name. He is currently using our 204mm F12 TCR with an R35 lens. I'm looking forward to some DSOs shot through the behemoth. If you saw the image I posted of Ales sitting in our booth at the ASAE this past November, you saw the instrument he is using. Thanks David and we look forward to more of your work. See his web page at rankinstudio.com/ Mike

Thanks guys!
I am new to these scopes and still have a lot to learn. Unfortunately the skies are now cloudy so I am not going to be able to do much for a while. Storms in the forecast...
I am from Southern Utah and have the opportunity to test out some of these scopes under our awesome skies here. I'll be regularly posting images here, along with anything I learn!
I am going to order a 2x Televue Powermate to pump the FL up do around F20+. I have a feeling this scope is going to produce some amazing Jupiter images at higher magnifications.

If anyone wants to play with the raw data used to make that image it is available here: rankinstudio.com/Jup023229.zip These are the stacked files already ran through Registax. They just need to be sharpened and RGB combined. Enjoy!

my vision the Red and Green layers are very good :)and the blue is not catastrophic; it's a great surprise for the R35 JP JP, that looks very nice. Great processing on it I also was very surprised how the Red and Green came out. I think the Green came out best. While I had to refocus for each color, it was not difficult at all and they snapped into focus well. Cheers!

My take with stronger wavelet sharpening. Probably a little overboard.
