Well with Jupiter rising earlier and earlier in the east I'm ready for bear! Here for you newbies coming on board is my Istar 10" F/11 R30/35 scope. Last night even with a furnace stack right below it the image was still very stunning to say the least.

Download AttachmentHere are some more pics. Note the huge rotating focuser on the 10". It has an infinite number of positions with 12 preset click stop positions. Very very handy in those awkward scope attitudes.

One heck of a set up Mikey. Think I'll have to put a visit to the USA (and an extra special visit to you and your Obs Mikey….on a clear night) on the bucket list….is that OK Mikey? Just been using a 10" Newt and a 4" ED refractor while my 6" f12's tube is being painted….I miss the 6" already.
As often as I have seen your pics….wow…..words fail me
There is nothing like the view through a refractor, the bigger the better.
