Here is the moon taken prime focus with my Sony alpha 200 DSLR , raw shot straight out of the camera to here , a little sizing to fit the thread is all . The 2 off 3rd quarter shots are slightly different exposure times there is s subtle difference between these two . Shot with my 127mm f8 istar doublet achromat got to love that 'Inky' blackness of space around the moon a very nice lense this 127mm . Awsome colour correction , this is how my 14mm TV radian shows the moon , same image scale . Brian.

Brian, don't you just love to see the moon framed like this? Jet black background and all. Not even a hint of CA.
I tested a 150mm F8 the other night when the moon was a quarter and waxing it looked so good at perfect image scale to fit completely in the field with a 25mm plossl. I wanted to image it but the mosquitoes said no way!

By the way I posted these on our Ice in Space down here in OZ and yes the 'nay sayers' or 'scope police' APO snobs went all out to bag these shots , but one thing was certain , not two of them could agree on what the colour seen "On the limb" was ? , it ranged from yellow to blue ? go figure .
Snob's , my pet hate ! They got a bit snotty when I suggested to buy a deicent screen ! but the majority of people praised the shots and the Istar .
Got over 3 pages of comments tho.
Brian.
