I'm working on an adapter to put Istar 150mm F8 lenses on Celestron C6R refractors. They sold a ton of them but the coatings come off. I have a list of 25 people who wanted them. I should have them in a couple weeks. Since you can't remove the counter cell from the Celestron tube we machined an adapter from their counter cell to our lens cell. I dont' know if it's worth sinking $600 into an old refractor but there seemed to be a lot of interest. I guess if you have the complete outfit already including mount and scope then maybe it's worth it. Comments? If you build it, they will come. Jim

I hope they will come. I think I have a few sold already.

Mike,
Will a 150 f8 R35 fit? On second thoughts I'd be interested in this. A 150 f12 is one of my future choices so the R35 f8 would be just as good....specially if it is a drop in to the existing tube, and use my NEQ6, the existing lens could then be a nice paper weight. Build it and they will come is probably spot on. Matt

Yes, the R35 would work.
