I see the coming fluorites, and they look great. Unfortunately out of my price range. just how good is the 6" F-12? Lens cell only. It will fit my project. Was looking for a suburb figure and ptv. I see you list them as in stock?

Hi Dan...
You can go for Istar new 140mm triplet, is much cheaper than the 160mm.. I have the 152APM ED APO, but I don't see any much difference when go against a 5"triplet side by side comparison on Jupiter during one of my outreach activities..
If you want more aperture, then go for the longer focal length achro ONE and best are R30.... , and it may perform close to our ED APO...

Yes the 140 triplet would be great. But as an F-9 or F-10, then i would go for it. Price is ok if figure is best possible. Just needs to be a bit longer. there is no 6" F-12 astigmatic. Only achro. I could really go for a F-10 1400mm 140 triplet lens cell. Minimum 1200mm fl. Hi Dan... You can go for Istar new 140mm triplet, is much cheaper than the 160mm.. PS; I have an APM152ED, Nice scope, just feel a bit longer fl would make a cleaner, Sharper and image with darker background with tighter stars. But that all depends upon the quality of the optical finish. I started to build up a F-12 6 inch D&G. But the lens cell is 5 years on order and unknown if it will ever make it to delivery. Hi Dan... The 180mm F-8 R35 has potential. but the strelh seems a bit low at .91. Rather see .95+ Hi Dan... You can go for Istar new 140mm triplet, is much cheaper than the 160mm..
