hi mike ! drilling holes maybe ! but just check this link and look at the second picture . on big scope or on small ones too , one could use a tube ring to fix his finder. you can place it anywhere you wont, in any position. this could be a nice add on........ ejamison.net/refractordobmounts.htmlhave fun Vincent

Yes, this is something we could design and offer as a separate accessory. I can not "squeeze" this part under existing part since the cost of machining of such ring will be substantial, but I believe that we could produce such ring at around 100 dollars. Nevertheless we can give our customers BOTH, drilled holes to attach common bracket sizes AND this ring at extra cost for those who want maximum flexibility and versatility. Great, thank you for this lead, best regards, Ales

I like that style, Vincent. Adds a little weight to back end.

If the finder is a right angle finder the diagonal should rotate. I have an Antares it is a good finder but diagonal does not have set screw to rotate it. I use a 100mm F/6 with rotateable star diagonal mounted on my 8 inch F/9 it does a great job. A great finder is a joy. From my light polluted skies I preferr a large finder. It does duty as gude scope and wide field CCD and DSLR Photos.
