Hi Ales.....John says he will have some thin metal either steel or aluminum rolled. It will slip on with felt inside the collimation screws. Otherwise it would have to sit over the flanges and the surface bearing area would only be an inch or so thick. To easy to cock it from light "bumps". John is a true perfectionist so this project is not going to be slam bam thankyou ma'am build. ;D Mike

Hello Mikey, VERY nice, I’m looking forward seeing some pictures and updates on your build and I am definitely NOT alone. Well, keep us all informed! By the way yesterday we tested our Forfax LTT 140-12 APO. Tested against several brand named scopes in similar aperture ranges. I am more than pleased at this point and I will keep everyone informed, will post some photos as well. I think we have a winner here especially if price of Istar lens/scope is taken in consideration. I can share the following info right away. Views of the Moon with our ISTAR APO were simply the best from all three scopes. Not even the slightest hint of false color, absolutely incredible resolution / detail. Owners of other APO scopes just shook their heads in sheer disbelieve. But considering the price I believe that Istar won the battle in the category of its own. I just wanted to share this fresh news. Best regards, Ales
