Yippee! New scope arrived today. Can't wait to set it up. And, unlike most times, the weather will be clear tonight. Got a full moon but I'll settle for some close up moon gazing. I'll upload a picture later.

Wowsy!! What a piece of glass. Is this your personal scope or is it in your hands for testing or a review? 8-)Mike

It's my personal scope. Just delivered fresh from the Czech Republic this afternoon. That's why I can't wipe the grin off my face. In fact, I don't know how much sleep I'll get tonight.

Holly crap, Mike! That is one really seriously great looking scope. Don't know what color the countercell and fittings are gonna be on my scope, but I vote for black!
Well, it's been dark for a while now. How's it work?

Took me all night to put it together. Walked outside and it's overcast (11:41 PM). Will keep checking for it to clear up. Don't have to get up tomorrow so I'll go out anytime over night. I would love to check out Jupiter tomorrow morning.

A lot of dark hours left. I'm keeping optimistic it will clear up. Radar looks good.

I didn't know you could afford that many bags of popcorn and drinks?! You could have a lens for the price of that much at the local " Grand Mega Plex 20"!! :oMike

Unfortunately, you may have to feed them popcorn and drinks for a few days. The weather tonight is no better than last night. Tomorrow I leave for the Florida Keys for 4 or 5 days. This is not a telescope trip. This is a spend time with the wife trip. Astro magazines and my laptop is the limit. Limits imposed by me as the wife never says a word about the eat, sleep and drink astronomy. I hope to post some feedback and an image or two by the end of the week.
